A one-day collaborative conference for Tisch faculty to share creative practices, teaching insights, and research across departments.

OFF BOOK creates a dedicated space for knowledge exchange among Tisch faculty, highlighting the diverse research approaches and teaching methodologies that drive our academic community. Through faculty-led presentations, hands-on workshops, and guided discussions, participants will gain insight into the pedagogical practices, research frameworks, and creative processes that distinguish Tisch departments, fostering opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and intellectual cross-pollination.

This one-day conference, envisioned by Eric Zimmerman and informed by the Tisch Faculty Research Working Group, celebrates the collective expertise of Tisch faculty while creating pathways for innovative teaching strategies, research partnerships, and artistic explorations to emerge. By sharing scholarly and creative approaches, we strengthen our academic community and enhance the intellectual ecology of Tisch. OFF BOOK will be held in late August, just before Orientation events begin, providing an energizing exchange of ideas to launch the academic year.
