With support from the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA), Prof. Mona Jimenez of NYU's Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) Program traveled to Manila along with two MIAP graduates--Marie Lascu (MIAP '12) and Yvonne Ng (MIAP '08)--to lead a community archiving workshop, in collaboration with Prof. Rose Roque, Prof. Benedict ‘bono’ Salazar Olgado (MIAP '12), and students at the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UPSLIS).
The workshop took place on April 1, 2017, at UPSLIS, prior to the 2017 SEAPAVAA conference in Manila. UPSLIS and SEAPAVAA provided additional support.
