Laurel Bear
Director of Development
Laurel Bear serves as the Director of Development at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She previously acted as Assistant Director for External Affairs and as writer and researcher in the same office since January 2012.
Laurel coordinates the school's stewardship efforts, works closely with institutional and individual donors, and crafts language for all stages of development, liaising with offices across the university. She plays a key role in managing and distributing funded aid to Tisch students. Laurel also serves alongside her colleagues to execute the annual Tisch Gala, which raises more than $1 million in support of student needs.
A graduate of Oberlin College's Theater Department, Laurel began her New York City development career at the Broadway and Off-Broadway nonprofit theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club.
